You charge the DeVilbiss IGO batteries in the oxygen concentrator itself. When plugged into a wall outlet with the AC power supply (wall outlet), you can use the unit and charge the battery at the same time. When plugged into the DC power supply (cigarette lighter) the unit will not charge the battery, but will hold the batteries charge.

No. Make sure to only plug in the DC adapter when the vehicle is on. The patient will drain the vehicles battery if plugged in while the vehicle is turned off.

Plug the DC adapter into the cigarette lighter in a vehicle, while the vehicle is on. The battery will maintain its battery life, and the patient will have an unlimited supply of oxygen.

Is the DeVilbiss IGO approved for airline travel?

Yes. The DeVilbiss IGO has its FAA approval, allowing patients to bring it on board with them. Each airline has different procedures and policies, so always make sure to give them a call before traveling with your IGO.
